Excel Facility Services is a multi-state janitorial employer that has been in business for over 15 years and its corporate office is in Nutley, NJ.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, and experience Payroll Specialist to process and manage the company’s payroll, who will be the one to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments, include managing the company budget and expense as well as cooperating with different departments to increase payroll service performance and improve upon the payroll system.
Responsibilities: Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with assistance of a computer system,
Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
Process taxes and payment of employee benefits Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
Keep up to date and create budget report with assistant of timekeeping system.
Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Familiarize yourself and keep current with wage determination by state.
Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
